Pre-Kinder
Every year, between March and May, The Grange School carries out the PreKinder admissions process. Admissions are open for all pupils; the only requirement is that the applicant turns five years old during the Pre-Kinder year.
For this level we are hugely oversubscribed, but all pupils apply on equal terms and, although many families with children already in the School apply, there is always space for families new to the School
Our selection process is designed to ensure that every boy or girl who is offered a place will benefit fully from the curriculum and will thrive during his or her School experience.
One of our aims at The Grange is total immersion in English in the Prep School. This begins the moment a child arrives in Pre-Kinder, where the school day is now slightly longer than elsewhere.
Process
The assessment for Pre Kinder usually takes place on Saturdays between March and April each year. The dates are assigned according to the birth date of the applicant, to make sure your children are assessed on equal terms.
All families new to The Grange will be interviewed and toured around the School.
The assessment is supervised by teachers and professionals working in the field of child psychology. Even though we understand parents are anxious to know how their child did, no information will be divulged until the entire Admissions process is over.
Deadline for PK 2011 applications: Friday 26th March 2010
